Denture Reconstruction

Patient has a full upper denture and a lower partial denture with metal clasps - a most unaesthetic appearance. Gum treatment was performed to create healthy tooth substance above the gum margin of the lower teeth. Later, crowns were placed on these teeth. A lower partial denture was constructed without clasps as well as an upper denture with irregular tooth placement and staining procedures to create a natural appearance. At a later stage, the lower plate was replaced with crowns cemented to Dental Implants.

Implants With Sinus Lift

Bridge #25-27 had been in place for 25 years before root #15 fractured and had to be extracted. A temporary bridge was placed. Shortly afterwards, root #24 suffered the same fate. It was then decided to place 3 implants with a sinus lift procedure at the same visit. 3 replace select implants were placed in positions #24, 25 & 26. The sinus being packed with Dynagraft mixed with Bio-Oss granules and autogenous bone harvested from the site. Healing was uneventful. A partial denture was worn in the interim period and the implants were exposed 9 months later when healing abutments were placed. Subsequently, three crowns were splinted and placed with temporary cement.
